EDTA Tubes use EDTA(K2) and EDTA(K3) as anticoagulants. They are widely used to collect blood for clinical haematology examination and are suitable for blood cells analysis and determination of blood groups.
The bonding of EDTA with the calcium ions of the blood sample prevents the blood to clot.
